Vermont Jeweler Leslie Von Bargen Dies

Leslie Bibens Von Bargen, 58, lost her battle with ovarian cancer on July 9.

In 1975, Leslie married John Von Bargen, founder of Von Bargen’s Jewelry in Vermont, and became involved in the business, which now has three stores in Vermont and one in New Hampshire.

She is survived by her husband, two children, and grandchildren.

“Leslie lived for the moment and always brought her ‘triple double’ energy and positive attitude to the people around her, even when faced with the horrendous trials of cancer,” says the store’s tribute page. “She displayed incredible strength, courage and grace and gained the admiration and love of everyone she encountered during her cancer journey. She faced the most difficult of moments with her signature smile and pink lipstick, always the epitome of class.”

The family asks that donations be made in Leslie’s honor to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center Research Fund or the Oncology Clinic at Springfield Hospital.
