The JIS Exchange jewelry show—the premier buying event for immediate at-show delivery —will relocate from the Tropicana to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center for Las Vegas Jewelry Week, June 1–4.
Event organizer Reed Jewelry Group has relocated the show to make the buying experience more convenient for retailers. The move is a direct result of customer feedback, coupled with the completion of Mandalay Bay’s convention center expansion project. JIS Exchange was held at the Tropicana during Las Vegas Jewelry Week in 2016 and 2017. With the move, the show will also double in size.
All three Reed Jewelry Group shows—JIS Exchange, JCK Las Vegas, and LUXURY—will move together in 2019 from Mandalay Bay to the Sands Expo and Convention Center, which is an extension of the Venetian and Palazzo resorts.
“We are excited to welcome JIS Exchange to the Sands Expo in 2019, to take place alongside the JCK Las Vegas and LUXURY shows,” said Yancy Weinrich, senior vice president of Reed Jewelry Group. “We are always listening to our customers, and their desire for ease and convenience of having everything under one roof is clear. JIS Exchange alongside JCK solidifies our evolution and move back to the Sands, which will also include our newest pavilion, Global Gemstones, a partnership with ICA and the very best fine gemstone dealers in the world. We’re excited to be able to offer the global jewelry industry a marketplace for one-stop shopping in 2019.”
The Sands Expo and Convention Center, which was a former home to the JCK Las Vegas show, recently underwent a complete makeover, which included major renovations and upgrades. The venue now has a stunning new entryway that eases foot traffic woes and a newly designed business center and café, among other amenities.
Furthermore, the Sands Convention Center is conveniently located in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, making local jaunts faster and easier. The venue is connected to the Venetian and Palazzo resorts—home to popular dining, entertainment, shopping, and nightlife spots.
