Diamond Trading Company managing
director Varda Shade and several De Beers Group employees were on hand for the April
12 opening of Shree Ramkrishna Export’s state-of-the-art 250,000-square foot
diamond manufacturing facility in Mumbai, India.
The new factory is the result of three years of effort, the
company said, and consolidates the company’s operations.
“Today is a landmark
day in the history of SRK,” said Govind Dholakia, company chairman, in a
statement. “What started as a dream has today become a reality. This facility
ranks among the most modern and efficient diamond manufacturing plants in the
world.
