Van Cleef & Arpels says its new boutique in Millburn, N.J., was designed as a refined and peaceful environment where clients are invited to explore the brand’s fine and high jewelry.
The 3,000-square-foot boutique opened in January in the Mall at Short Hills, one of New Jersey’s premier shopping destinations, located about 30 miles outside New York City. The Simon Property Group mall has more than 150 stores and restaurants.
“We are overjoyed to open in Short Hills, offering our cherished clients a new space to discover the magic and artistry of Van Cleef & Arpels,” Helen King, president and CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels Americas, said in a statement. “This boutique embodies our dedication to exceptional craftsmanship and timeless beauty, providing an immersive journey into our universe.”

The store’s facade features a gradient diamond pattern made of tiles in brushed or hammered gold or a black finish, along with four showcase windows. Metalwork frames the entryway.
Inside, clients are welcomed into a sanctuary-like space with a grand display fixture and a two-tier Veronese chandelier at the center. A gold-leaf ceiling, hand-painted wallpaper, comfortable seating, and dome fixtures contribute to the elegant interior.
Four sales desks are located near the front, within a library setting where books and decorative objects are displayed. Two additional sales desks sit within discreet spaces toward the back of the store. Van Cleef & Arpels also offers two private salons in the boutique, for conversation and casual lounging.
