JCK Marketplace: Briefly, tell me about the history of Alberian & Aulde.
Mary Aulde: Warren [also designer/co-owner] discovered rose cut diamonds in his travels and was inspired by their unique play of light. We began to explore the possibility of designing sculpturally with them as a medium for jewelry. After years of experimentation we developed our brand around the rose cut gemstone. Of course, we don’t exclude full cut gemstones when they are required, but this is a very short history of A&A!
JCK Marketplace: If you could sum up Alberian & Aulde in just a few words, which would you choose?
MA: Innovative, classic, versatile, feminine, soulful.
JCK Marketplace: What is your favorite piece from your Marketplace showroom, and why?
MA: The Large Pillow ring, because it is so comfortable to wear every day and never ceases to light up.
JCK Marketplace: If you could give one piece of advice to jewelry retailers, what would it be?
MA: Try our brand!
JCK Marketplace: Because I have to ask…what is your preferred happy hour drink?
MA: Cosmo!
