United Brands Worldwide announced the formation of United Brands Asia Dec. 22.
The new company will aid Chinese and U.S. agents and professionals in the China
retail jewelry, diamond, and precious metal markets.
“There is an aggressive vertical move happening now in the China retail
market,” said Frank Wang, Hong Kong project development agent at United Brands
Asia, in a statement. “Several major Hong Kong jewelry companies are planning
and executing large retail expansion models to connect their sourcing and
manufacturing supply chains to consumers in the booming China market.”
