Two held in connection with multi-million dollar theft in London

A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with a multi-million dollar diamond heist at an exclusive jeweler, UK’s Press Association news service reports.

The 26-year-old woman and the 23-year-old man were arrested in central London by Flying Squad detectives on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery, the PA reports. Their names were not released.

The arrests followed the £7.3 million (approximately $12 million) raid at Graffs Jewellery Salon in New Bond Street, London, just after midday on May 20 this year. Two robbers, armed with a gun, made off with 47 items of diamond jewelry, including diamond-studded bracelets and earrings.

Scotland Yard reportedly said that the stolen property hasn’t been recovered.
