Tourneau has announced today that Howard R. Levitt has decided to step down at the end of 2009 as chief executive officer.
Levitt will continue to serve on the company’s board, and will continue as CEO until a new leader is selected. The company’s board will identify his successor in the coming months.
Robert J. Wexler, Tourneau’s chairman of the board, said, “We would like to thank Howard for the significant contributions he has made to Tourneau over the last 18 years. He has been instrumental in the company’s growth and we look forward to his continued participation on the Board.”
Levitt said, “I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of growing the company into a leader in fine watch retailing. We have a great team in place and the company is well positioned for the future
