Tivol has announced plans to open a third store in the Kansas City metro area. The proposed Northland location store will occupy 6,000 sf. in Briarcliff Village, a new lifestyle center set to open in spring 2006.

“We are very excited to have found what we feel is a perfect spot for a new Tivol store,” said Steve Mitchem, Tivol president.

Tivol is working with RED Brokerage, LLC and Briarcliff Development Company to complete the store in time for Briarcliff¹s opening next spring. Hoefer-Wysocki Architects, a local architectural firm, has been hired to design the new location in the Northland. Tivol will serve as an anchor store for the center.

Tivol has been in Kansas City for nearly a century. Its two other locations are the flagship store on the Country Club Plaza, which will be undergoing an expansion next year, and Overland Park at Hawthorne Plaza, which celebrated a 10th anniversary in 2004.
