
For the third year in a row, Tiffany & Co. is presenting an immersive installation at the U.S. Open tennis tournament that highlights Tiffany’s long-standing role in the tourney, for which it has produced championship trophies since 1987.
The exhibit’s centerpiece comprises the men’s and women’s singles trophies, crafted by hand at Tiffany’s hollowware workshop in Rhode Island. Each sterling silver cup takes about six months to produce, which includes more than 60 hours of specialized silversmithing—spinning, engraving, and polishing.

Tiffany’s U.S. Open pop-up opened to the public on Aug. 18 and continues through Sept. 7. It is located at Fountain Plaza in the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens. A giant tennis ball in Tiffany Blue (pictured at top) provides a recognizable gathering point for visitors and a backdrop for photos.
This year’s installation includes new showpieces that connect tennis to Tiffany design. In a display that reinterprets standard tennis equipment through Tiffany’s jewelry-making techniques, a custom HardWear tennis racket accented with nearly 5 cts. of round brilliant diamonds is paired with a 24k gold vermeil tennis ball inlaid with close to 7 cts. diamonds.

Tiffany has also introduced a digital feature to the exhibit, in partnership with Meta. Through an AI experience, guests can create personalized “trophy selfies,” placing themselves in the role of U.S. Open champion.
Nearly four decades after it first designed U.S. Open trophies, Tiffany’s work continues to be part of the tournament’s most important moments. Winners in all events—doubles and mixed doubles, as well as men’s and women’s singles—receive trophies made by the jeweler.
