When it comes to engagement on Facebook, Tiffany & Co. reigns as the top retailer, beating out giants such as Walmart, according to a survey by social software firm Expion.
The company’s “Social Retail Report” includes an engagement ranking, which measures how effective a brand’s Facebook content is by showing how often fans respond to posts.
Tiffany topped the list because it provided “quality over quantity,” according to Expion’s report.
“With an average of only one post per day, Tiffany & Co.… made every post count,” the report said. “The luxury retailer generated the most engagement with more fans liking, sharing and commenting on each post than any other brand.”
The jewelry retailer’s posts were “aspirational, high-quality, image-driven,” and the company was particularly successful at leveraging its partnership with the film The Great Gatsby by showcasing jazz-age jewelry, the report added.
