Tiffany launches Web site in China

Tiffany & Co. has launched an informational Web site in China. The Web site, www.tiffany.cn, provides data on a range of subjects relating to the luxury jeweler, its history, and its jewelry collections, which are offered in Beijing and Shanghai.

The Web site, which contains 11 sections and 557 pages, comprises of the following: diamonds, fine jewelry, timepieces, and gifts and accessories. Additional sections include information on Tiffany heritage, jewelry expertise, catalogues, customer service, and store locations.

It’s the company’s fifth Web site—after the U.S., U.K., Japan, and Canada.

“Our new website gives us a more efficient way to disseminate important information to existing and potential customers,” said Sylvia AuYeung, director of Tiffany & Co. China.

The Web site advises visitors that authentic Tiffany merchandise is available only at Tiffany & Co. stores in China. The company’s current locations in China include the Palace Peninsula Hotel in Beijing and the Jiu Guang City Plaza Department Store in Shanghai. Products are not available for purchase in China on the Internet at this time.
