
Tiffany announced Monday that it reported net earnings of $43.7 million in the third quarter, down just 1 percent from 2008.
Overall net sales were $598.2 million, down from $616.2 million in 2008. In the Americas, sales were $303.5 million, dropping 9% from 2008.
Sales in the Asia-Pacific region increased 10% to $225.8 million in the third quarter. In Europe, sales increased 12% to $65.0 million.
U.S. same store sales were down 10% and sales in the New York flagship store were down 8%.
