The Professional Golf Association and Tiffany & Co. have entered into a long-term marketing partnership whereby Tiffany becomes an “Official Awards and Gift Provider of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour.”
Tiffany will design and craft the FedExCup Trophy, which will be presented annually to the winner of the Tour’s season-long points competition. The sterling silver and titanium trophy will be unveiled this week at the Mercedes-Benz Championship, which tees up the inaugural FedExCup.
The FedExCup competition encompasses a 33-week season followed by the first-ever, four-event PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedExCup. Following a progressive cut through the first three playoff events, the competition culminates in mid-September with The Tour Championship, where the FedExCup Champion will be determined and the FedExCup Trophy presented. Tiffany also will provide an on-site engraver at each Tour Championship to engrave the champion’s name.
The announcement was made in early December.
