Thistle & Bee Cofounder William Callaghan Dies

William Callaghan, chairman of Sterling Possessions/Thistle & Bee, died on Oct. 9 in New York City after a brief illness. He was 70 years old. 

Born in the Bronx, Bill attended Fordham University and earned an MBA from New York University. He subsequently served in the National Guard at Fort Campbell in Kentucky. 

Callaghan began his career with Federated Stores, working at Bloomingdales headquarters in New York. He later established Callaghan Associates, an executive retail search firm.

He founded Sterling Possessions/Thistle & Bee, a sterling silver jewelry and giftware company, in 1997. It now has offices in New York City, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.
