One-of-a-kind Frida earrings in 18k yellow gold with fancy sapphires, green diamonds, Mali garnet, Namibian spessartite garnet, pink tourmaline, and aquamarine by Jane Taylor Jewelry, price on request
Remember kaleidoscopes? One could keep me entertained for hours. Looking through a kaleidoscope and spinning that wheel was like looking into a different galaxy, one far more colorful and magical than any other could possibly be. Though I’m older (and have no idea where my old childhood toy ended up), I still have a vast appreciation for those mystical patterns: the bursting shapes, mix of colors and designs. And it’s just that style that’s been catching my eye as of late in jewelry. Is it a trend? I can’t say for sure, and I imagine that this style has been around for a long time. Though it does seem that more jewelry brands and designers are crafting jewelry with keleidoscopic patterns lately, and I dig it. Observe my recent finds.
