The RealReal, the online luxury consignment marketplace, has opened a jewelry and watch valuation office in New York City.
The office, located in midtown Manhattan, will offer appointments for free valuations. Appointments can be made by calling 917-551-6523 or emailing valuation@therealreal.com.
“We’re proud to now offer a free valuation service that you truly can’t get anywhere else,” said senior director of fine jewelry and watches Michael Groffenberger. “Often, jewelry sellers treat pricing like a trade secret. What we’re doing is sharing this information transparently so consumers know how much their fine jewelry and watches are truly worth. Even with 4 million members and growing, it remains extremely important for us to reach our clients on a personal level, which is why we’re so thrilled to be able to offer this new in-person service.”
In July, the RealReal announced that it had expanded a partnership with Neiman Marcus to offer in-person consignment at 34 Neiman Marcus stores and offer payment in the form of Neiman Marcus gift cards.
