The RealReal Expands Free Jewelry and Watch Valuation to Los Angeles

The company opened its New York City valuation office in 2015 and plans to expand to Chicago and other markets

The RealReal, the online luxury consignment marketplace, is bringing its jewelry and watch valuation service to Los Angeles.

RealReal experts, including graduate gemologists, assess clients’ items on the spot, offering valuations documents that state the item’s resale value on therealreal.com.

“The mission of our valuation offices is to offer our luxury consignors a special service to determine the resale value of their fine jewelry and watches, because until now, people haven’t had an easy or reliable way to do this,” said the RealReal CEO and founder Julie Wainwright in a statement. “After seeing the demand for this type of service in New York City, we are excited to introduce it to Los Angeles and other major markets later this year.”

The company opened its first office for valuation appointments in August 2015. Appointments can be made at  therealreal.com/valuation.
