The Pledgers Pledge Their Love at IW Marks Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony

Ashley and Jason Pledger of Pinehurst, Texas, were married just over two years ago in a simple civil ceremony without any special trimmings. But on Valentine’s Day, they renewed their wedding vows “live” on a local radio station, followed by a champagne and cake reception, horse and carriage “getaway,” and an upcoming “Dinner and a Rodeo.” I W Marks Jewelers, Houston and Sugar Land, were among several local sponsors of the romantic event.

“We never really had a celebration when we were married,” said Ashley, explaining why she entered the “Get Re-Hitched” Valentines Day contest sponsored by I W Marks, 100.3 KILT-FM, and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

Ashley, 23, and Jason, 27, whose names were drawn from more than 300 contest entries, renewed their wedding vows on 100.3 KILT-FM Radio at I W Marks’s Houston store.

The Pledgers pledged their love and exchanged his and hers diamond and white gold wedding rings compliments of I W Marks. Judge Lee Duggan officiated the ceremony, attended by Jason’s mother, Kaye Pledger, sister, April Kanouff, and grandmother, Margaret Pledger, who was visiting from Delray Beach, Fla.

Ashley wore a strapless bridal gown and a Louise Blum wedding veil and Jason was decked out in an Al’s Formal Wear Texas tuxedo. H-E-B provided the bride’s red and white rose Valentine’s wedding bouquet and red boutonnières.

After their first dance, the couple was treated to a reception with wedding cake, champagne toasts, and had their wedding getaway in a horse and carriage. Their “Get Re-Hitched” prize package also includes riding in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo “Grand Entry” on March 3 and Clay Walker concert. They will enjoy dinner and a reception among the 60,000 rodeo and concert attendees and meet recording artist Walker back stage.
