Le Vian mixed with Jacquie Aiche—and more
This past weekend, Beyoncé—who’s fond of dropping surprise projects on her adoring public—released a surprise, hour-long visual album on HBO called Lemonade. The powerful pop ode to female strength and fragility, which confronted a cheating husband (presumably Jay-Z) with a collection of songs positively simmering with anger and sadness, was a true aural and visual feast. If you didn’t catch it, definitely stream it on HBO GO!
Of the dozens of incredible costumes Queen Bey wore in the piece, a certain ruffly Roberto Cavalli mustard-hue dress was a standout. Of course, it may also be memorable because she wore it while smashing in car and store windows with a baseball bat.
Her stylist on the project, B. Akerlund, paired the showstopping frock with a melange of name-brand jewelry. The Hollywood Reporter got the scoop on the jewelry particulars: “The shoes are Saint Laurent,” Akerlund says. “Beyoncé’s wearing a hand piece, an anklet, and a body chain by Jacquie Aiche; a Lynn Ban diamond-cuff earring and ring—it looks like a big cuff that’s hanging on her right ear; a Jennifer Fisher cigar ring; Fallon gold hoop earrings; a custom-made Kismet by Milka ‘B’ ring; and a bracelet by Le Vian.”
The stylist went on to note that she’s “a bit of a jewelry freak…I’m totally obsessed with too much.” Yes, us too.
In another clip, Beyoncé wore huge Maxior yellow gold and diamond earrings—see them in the below photo. (If your brand made it into Lemonade, drop me a line, and I’ll update this post!)
