The Instagram Edit: Bridal Fashion Week (#NYBFW)

Over the weekend, New York City played host to a gazillion bridal runway shows and presentations. Whether grand and majestic or flowy and ethereal, the wedding gowns themselves always take center stage; in fact, some shows feature no jewels at all. Not even a pearl or diamond stud!

But this season, a number of thoughtful jewelry choices revealed themselves on Instagram, thanks to the keen eyes and quick fingers of bridal shop owners, press, makeup artists, and others in attendance (or working backstage).

Earrings ruled for the most part—flower blossoms and feathers, tassels and starbursts, many of them extending well below the shoulders.

A few jewelry designers lent engagement rings for the shows, and those are almost impossible to capture from a distance via iPhone. Happily, the edit below includes close-ups of Monique Lhuillier x Blue Nile’s sparklers.

When my sister was getting married we might have went to several bridal shows and had multiple appointments with bridal boutiques but she simply couldn’t find the dress that could make her say yes. We finally checked out this global wedding marketplace where she booked her all-inclusive wedding package, https://ibride.com/, and was pleasantly surprised with the collection there and finally found the one. Sometimes, you just have to quit hitting the pavement and take the search online.
