As I sit here, browsing the latest fashions to arrive in stores (well, online) and creating a plan of attack for which look to stock my new season’s wardrobe with first, I’m amazed by the newest offerings in ear-wear. They’re all big.
Sure, there’s a smattering of stud earrings here and there, but few are the tiny ear-party-making duds that have been top-of-list for the last year or so. These studs are oversized, in the form of hulking gemstones, plentiful flowers, and sizeable shapes. There are long, dangling drop earrings, many cascading in a waterfall of metal or gems, others featuring a simple long line. There are also a startling number of earrings featuring circles: Concentric shapes strung together in a line, a single hoop strung with a charm. Rather than narrow down a single trend here (something to focus on as the season progresses, I suppose), the moral of the story is this: If you’re fortifying your fall stock, go big. These options will do the trick quite nicely.
