Share

The 1916 Company, which was created last year by merging WatchBox, Govberg, Radcliffe, and Hyde Park Jewelers under one unified brand, has made some changes to its leadership team.

Justin Reis (left), previously global CEO, has become company chairman. John Shmerler, who had been 1916’s U.S. CEO, is now global CEO.

Danny Govberg, who had served as executive chairman, continues in a day-to-day role working on the vision and strategy.

The group currently numbers seven multi-brand stores, six mono-brand boutiques, 11 collector’s lounges, and a global headquarters outside of Philadelphia. It recently opened a store in Baltimore and is relocating its Ardmore, Pa., store later this year. A new multi-brand boutique in Manhattan Beach, Calif., is planned for 2025.
