The 10 Most Popular Jewelry News Stories and Tweets of August 2012

I hardly ever check my Google+ account.

I know; how could a web guy like myself not devote equal passion and focus to all the social media sites that compete for my attention.

However, it was actually relatively easy for me to ignore because it lost the hype war to Pinterest and became a male-dominated social site. The readers we’re trying to reach weren’t buzzing about it, so why did I have to care?

Chris McLaughlin, chief executive officer of Maximize Social Media, in an interview conducted by senior editor Emili Vesilind, claims that the social site is poised to become “this generation’s Yellow Pages.” He also states that Google+ is “where most of the traffic is.”
