Leading jewelry houses from Thailand will once again actively take part in the JCK Las Vegas 2008 with a strong contingent of 68 exhibitors to demonstrate the country’s eagerness to expand its international profile especially at a premier trade show.

At the Thai Pavilion, located in the main hall, leading jewel houses from Thailand will show a rich collection of avant-garde designs, couture jewelry, and superbly cut quality gemstones. Seven other top jewel houses from the Kingdom also will present their jewelry and creations at the Lido Ballroom, a section dedicated to fine jewelry.

Thai-made jewelry has features that reflect the rich cultural heritage, refinement, warmth, and gentle touch of Thailand. The products presented are varied, from dazzling fine jewelry with diamond, precious stones, gold and silver, in exquisite classic and new designs, to parts and accessories. However, their product highlight is on avant-garde silver jewelry which is especially popular in North America.

An invitation-only networking lunch and product preview was planned on June 1 at the Zeno Ballroom, Venetian Resort Hotel & Casino. At the event, about 200 international guests would have the chance to view masterpieces from the Kingdom and network with nearly 100 couture Thai jewelry designers and manufacturers in a cozy ambience that comes with delicious oriental cuisine.

Thai pavilion will provide a glimpse of what Thailand has had to offer in terms of product variety, craftsmanship, and ability to meet specific demand from overseas buyers. It also provides a preview of what is available at the bi-annual Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair.

BGJF, held twice a year on March and September, has been recognized as the best venue to see what Thailand has had to offer in terms of loose colored gemstones and those set in jewelry designs, all in one spot and up close, as well as the fifth largest trade show.

With more than 3,500 stalls spread over 80,000 square meters in a single-floor layout, BGJF has been a vibrant marketplace where more than 1,000 exhibitors from over 35 countries taking part and more than 30,000 people attended.
