Marie Salem Habeeb, cofounder of Habeeb’s Jewelers in Corpus Christi, Texas, died on June 3. She was 90.
Habeeb and her husband, Emil, opened Habeeb’s Jewelers in 1956. The couple were married for 51 years, before Emil’s death in 1999. Today the business is run by their daughter, Linda Habeeb.
A service was held over the weekend in Corpus Christi. Donations may be made to the Emil and Marie Habeeb Scholarship fund at St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament.
