Tamar Unique Jewelry Designs was on hand with the celebrities at the recently held Essence Awards.

The maker of semiprecious stones, freshwater pearls, and vintage pendants in silver and gold was part of the gifts entertainers received during the awards ceremony held on Friday, June 6, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Calif. The awards program will be televised on FOX on June 27 at 8 p.m.

While waiting for rehearsals or their show appearance, presenters and performers were thanked for their time and talent by being given the opportunity to select specific gifts they wish to receive from the product lines being offered by participating companies. They received these gifts at the backstage “Talent Retreat,” created by Backstage Creations, Santa Monica, Calif.

Mary J. Blige, Beyonce Knowles, Queen Latifah, Erykah Badu, Taye Diggs, Tyrese, Vivica Fox, Jill Scott, and Monica were just a few of the celebrities who visited the Talent Retreat to select custom designed gifts, which ranged from designer eye wear to free dental whitening procedures and gifts for children.

Knowles, Scott, and Monica all had favorable things to say about the Tamar jewelry on display and Scott added that she was going to have something custom-made for her.
