TAG Heuer Smartwatch Will Sell for Around $1,300

TAG Heuer’s much-heralded smartwatch, produced in association with Google and Intel, will retail for about $1,300, a spokesperson said.

The new device will have about 35 hours of battery life, added international PR director Marine Lemonnier-Brennan.

She declined to confirm remarks made by Jean-Claude Biver, brand CEO and president of the watch division for brand owner LMVH, in Bloomberg that the watch will debut in October or November.

“No communication on that for the moment,” she said.

Biver also told the news services he expects the Apple Watch will interest younger buyers in timepieces. “I hope they sell millions and millions and millions of them,” he said. “The more they sell the more a few people will want something different and come to TAG Heuer.”
