Swatch Group expands top management boards

The Swatch Group, the world’s largest watchmaker, has made several additions it its executive management operations, effective Jan. 1. Its Executive Group Management Board has been restored to eight members (filling three vacancies from 2004). The Extended Management Board has expanded to 14 members, an addition of six.

“The new members reinforce the [company’s] luxury segment, the electronic and production divisions, and the distribution sector,” said a Jan. 12 announcement by the Group, headquartered in Biel, Switzerland.

New to the Executive Group are Florence Ollivier-Lamarque, president of Swatch Group France Les Boutiques, who is also responsible for the Flik Flak brand and overseeing the Spanish and Italian markets; Mougahed Darwish, president of the electronic sector of the Swatch Group; and Marc Alexander Hayek, active in various companies of the Group, president of the Blancpain luxury brand and responsible for the Swatch Group Middle East.

The new members of the Extended Group Management Board include Matthias Breschan, president of Hamilton Ltd; Manuel Emch, [STET] president of Jaquet Droz SA; Thomas Meier, president of ETA AG; Frank Müller, president of Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe GmbH; Kevin Rollenhagen, country Manager of Hong Kong; and Rudolf Semrad, country Manager of Austria.
