Bez Ambar introduces the Blaze-cut

Bez Ambar, designer and owner of wholesale jewelry design and manufacturing company Bez Ambar, recently introduced a new diamond cut to the market: the Blaze.

Inspired by the prospect of a diamond cut that maximizes a stone’s fire, Ambar started to explore the design possibilities. What resulted was the Blaze: a square-cut diamond that signifies a dramatic departure from traditional diamond cutting. The Blaze has a mere 13 facets that maximize the amount of fire dispersion in a stone.

“I believe I have created a truly unique cut,” says Ambar. “The Blaze produces maximum fire dispersion without compromising its brilliance. It is an extraordinary cut that does not stop to astound me with its beauty.”

Savor Silver pavilionSavor Silver Pavilion Debuts at International Jewellery London

For the first time, the Silver Promotion Service hosted its Savor Silver Pavilion at the International Jewellery London 2013 in early September. The pavilion showcased pieces from four exhibitors — Bastian Inverun, Charles Garnier Paris, Jorge Revilla, and Thistle & Bee — each with hopes of expanding its international distribution.

“We were extremely gratified by the general reaction to the first SPS-coordinated pavilion and very pleased that the four Savor Silver program participants represented our members so well,” says SPS director Michael Barlerin. “Based on our experience in London, we will start to explore similar opportunities in other leading industry shows”.

In addition to the pavilion, the SPS showcased the finest in silver jewelry design on the IJL runway, featuring the exhibiting designers as well as DeLatori, Gurhan, Scott Kay, and Slane. Barlerin also hosted a seminar session titled “A Sea Change for Silver” in the SPS-sponsored Inspiration Theater.
