In 2007, Velasquez moved to Los Angeles to work with Harry Winston on Rodeo Drive, and while there, he achieved the highest-grossing sales for four consecutive years.

Firestar Diamond Named Exclusive Licensee to Supply Endless Diamond Brand
Fantasy Diamond Corp. has announced that it has selected Firestar Diamond Inc., a global manufacturer of diamonds and fine jewelry, as the vendor of its Endless Diamond brand to national and regional retailers in the United States. Fantasy Diamond’s sales, marketing, and design teams will remain intact, and the company will continue to supply independent jewelers directly.
Firestar has been a longtime strategic partner and major supplier to Fantasy Diamond. Apart from the sales aspect of their partnership, Firestar often provides Fantasy Diamond with loose diamonds and manufacturing products.

Michael Raymond Designs Launches Limited Edition Fine Jewelry
Michael Raymond Pereira, owner and designer of Michael Raymond Designs, has announced the launch of his October 2012 limited-edition fine jewelry collection. The pieces, comprised of fine silver, brass, and gold-plated jewelry with innovative designs, will be available on a limited edition basis through the brand’s e-commerce site as well as at NYC’s Pop Up Jewelry Gallery through December 2012.
Collections such as Animus, which mirrors animal body parts, and Tongue in Cheek, inspired by iconic objects like toy hot dogs and iPod headphones, are among the handmade, whimsical designs offered.
“I enjoy combining unusual elements that normally would not go together,” said Pereira. “I love to reinvent objects that capture my attention, like oddly shaped animal bones or pieces of ammunition. I imagine new functions for these things and use them to create a surprising new sense of style.”
Pereira comes from a family of jewelers. After shadowing his father for years, Michael Raymond moved to New York City to develop his own design style. These collections are his first launch into the market as a jewelry designer.

Malca-Amit Launches 3PL Division
Malca-Amit USA, a branch of the international integrated solution technology company Malca-Amit Inc., recently launched a Third-Party Logistic (3PL) Division that will tailor to the jewelry, diamond, and watch industries.
