Preferred Jewelers International Launches Educational Cruise

Preferred Jewelers International’s inaugural Preferred Institute Cruise recently set sail from the port of Miami for the Bahamas, promising independent jewelers a weekend of education and entertainment.

The activities aboard the Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas kicked off on Sept. 27 with an informal cocktail party and a dinner that evening.

Jewelers spent the remainder of the weekend attending fun and educational sessions, such as Saturday morning’s highly anticipated training seminar from the Afterburners on “Flawless Execution.” The seminar and team-building exercises entailed instruction on how to be brief, how to execute, and how to not be overwhelmed by task saturation, especially in the upcoming, all-important holiday season.

Other highlights of the weekend cruise included a special presentation by Dr. Mark Rosewell on tips for spotting and combatting business fatigue and an educational session on the Phantom 105 diamond, which involved an introduction to the Phantom 105 earring program and training.

“There is one thing I never get tired of, and that’s celebrating independent jewelry retailers who embrace the excitement of learning experiences, seminars, and networking,” Preferred Jewelers International co-founder Andie Weinman said in a press release. “I cannot think of anything more inspiring.”
