Ritmo Mundo Partners With LA Galaxy

Ritmu Mondo x LA GalaxyLuxury watchmaker Ritmo Mundo has signed on as an official partner of the LA Galaxy soccer team through the 2015 season. The partnership will provide a custom watch display in the team’s VIP Champions Lounge to showcase Ritmo Mundo’s luxury collections, as well as its REFLEX brand of wearable LED slap watches.

“Ritmo Mundo is a cutting-edge brand with global reach and a worldly focused audience,” said LA Galaxy president Chris Klein in a press release. “This partnership allows for two premium brands to come together and grow within sports and fashion.”

Ritmo Mundo will also be recognized through the Galaxy’s in-stadium media assets, digital marketing, and social media platforms.

Duchess of Cambridge Dons Annoushka EarringsDuchess Kate in Annoushka earrings

Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton stepped out in late October wearing a pair of Annoushka pearl earrings. The Duchess has been photographed wearing her Annoushka pearl drops at several engagements throughout the year, such as the 2014 Royal Tour of Australia. She has also sported Annoushka’s Eclipse diamond eternity ring in the past.

“I am so thrilled to see the Duchess of Cambridge wearing my favourite pearl drop earrings on so many occasions,” said Annoushka founder Annoushka Ducas in a statement.

Initiatives in Art & Culture Announces 16th Annual Fashion Conference Presenters 

Art education organization Initiatives in Art and Culture (IAC) announced the roster for presenters at its 16th annual fashion conference, entitled Visionary: Inspiration, Incubation and Realization, being held November 14–15 in New York City. 

The conference will feature presentations on turning vision into reality across various fashion and design industries, with a focus on technology, textiles, and jewelry, and the business and professional incubators funding creative talent in these artistic sectors. 

“I am delighted to represent New York City Economic Development Corporation’s Center for Economic Transformation at IAC’s 16th fashion and design conference,” said Eric Johnson, director of fashion/retail, New York City Economic Development Corporation’s Center for Economic Transformation. “The fashion and retail sector is one of New York City’s most vibrant and iconic industries. And we are doing some amazing things to catalyze growth here. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to share information about those activities with others involved.”

Jewelry industry-specific sessions include “Pearls, Ponds, and Panics: A Fresh Perspective on the History of Culturing Pearls,” “The Journey of the Pearl: From Farm to Jewel,” and “Platinum Masters: Artistic Creation and Technology.”
