V.db is a B2B network that utilizes app technology and HD imagery in an effort to help retail and wholesale businesses save time and money when sourcing diamonds by putting it all at their fingertips, any time of day. The free app, made for smartphones and tablets, was launched in the fall of 2015 and enables retailers and wholesalers to virtually and visually source diamonds by price, availability, and the 4 C’s (carat, color, clarity, and cut). The program also aims to reduce shipping costs and security risks by allowing users to virtually experience the stones through high-quality photography and videography, before requesting samples.

Jewelers unBLOCKed Partners With Plumb Club for JCK Las Vegas

Insurance provider Jewelers unBLOCKed has announced its new partnership with the Plumb Club, a coalition of manufacturers spanning all facets of the jewelry, diamond, and watch industries. The partnership delegates Jewelers unBLOCKed as the preferred insurance partner for the Plumb Club and its affiliates spanning their presence at the JCK Las Vegas jewelry show, which runs June 3–6.

“Our relationship with Jewelers unBLOCKed creates a unique opportunity to offer highly value–added and competitive insurance products to the Plumb Club membership,” said Plumb Club president Jonathan Cohen in a press release. “It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement in an increasingly challenging business environment.”

Sterling Reputation to Present New Collection at JCK Las Vegas

Sterling Reputation has announced that its new collection of adjustable lariat bracelets will make its debut at this year’s JCK Las Vegas jewelry show.

The bracelets, crafted in sterling silver and each featuring a movable clasp, are made in Italy and designed by Sterling Reputation’s resident stylist, Pearl Woei. Thirty styles will be available with a suggested retail price range of $99–$199.

Fire Polish Debuting New Marketing Campaign: “Play With Fire”

Fire Polish Diamonds has announced that its new diamond-cutting technique, Fire Polish, is ready for business, with its new factory opening its doors on June 1. Validated by the GIA and AGS as a cutting technique, Fire Polish cuts thousands of facets into the pavilion of a diamond, acting like a prism to create a spectrums of color, increasing both the disperion (fire) and the scintillation (sparkle) of a diamond.

“Finally a diamond brand that consumers can see the difference when they get their ring home without the need for any special viewing devices,” said chief operation officer of Fire Polish Diamonds, Robert Goldstein, in a press release. The cutting technique has been described as a “game changer” by Fire Polish president and CEO, Glenn Markman.
