Pinshape and ELLE Jewelry Partner for Design Contest

ELLE Jewelry and 3-D printing community marketplace Pinshape and have partnered for a contest inviting designers to create 3-D jewelry prototypes of ring, pendant, and bracelet designs.

The winning designs have the potential to be manufactured and sold by ELLE Jewelry, and the winning designers will have the chance to interview for a position at ELLE.

“Jewelry lends itself to 3-D printing very well, thanks to its intricacies and customizable qualities,” said Pinshape CEO Lucas Matheson. “We hope that this contest will provide a chance for 3-D designers with jewelry-making capabilities who might not have had the incentive to jump into the jewelry field to realize the potential that this type of design has for them, and jewelry companies like ELLE to find some of the hidden design talent within the 3-D printing community.”

The contest runs through April 15.
