Rahaminov Diamonds Wins Design Challenge at JCK’s Platinum Innovation Awards

Rahaminov Diamonds Platinum Innovation Award-winning ring, 2014Luxury jewelers Rahaminov Diamonds won the 5th Anniversary Design Challenge at JCK’s Platinum Innovation Awards.

Vibrant Bloom, left, a ring with eight GIA-certified, natural, fancy colored diamonds, was the winning piece. Platinum Guild International (PGI-USA) challenged designers to construct a platinum piece inspired by the traditional five-year anniversary gift of wood. According to a press release, Vibrant Bloom’s nature-inspired colored palette helped it earn top marks.

“It was such a great achievement to have won this award, considering this was the first year we entered the Platinum Innovation Awards competition,” said Amir Goldfiner, CEO of Rahaminov Diamonds.

The internationally renowned design house was previously awarded the JCK Jewelers’ Choice Award two years in a row for its outstanding work.

Robert Procop Debuts New Designs From Exceptional Jewels Collection

Gem expert Robert Procop unveiled a sample of his newest platinum jewelry from the Exceptional Jewels collection during an exclusive event in New York City on June 10.

Inspired by the artistry of Parisian workshops in the 1920s and 1930s, the collection includes fine, natural gemstones set in platinum by master artisans.

“Platinum has always been the most prestigious of precious metals to sculpture fine jewels,” said Procop in a press release. “My finest master craftsmen treat platinum as their precious canvas when fabricating our pieces. Platinum is not only the most precious metal but is the most durable to hold jewels for centuries to come. Florida Retail Federation Names Montica Jewelry Owners Outstanding Retailer Leaders of 2014

The Florida Retail Federation named John and Marichi O’Rourke Outstanding Retail Leaders for 2014.

The association honored the owners of Montica Jewelry for their strong business practices and unwavering commitment to their community, customers, and employees.

“We are thrilled to be honored by this group,” said Mr. O’Rourke in a press release. “It represents a deep appreciation from our community and our peers—those who we have so gratefully served for more than 30 years.”

Leibish & Co. Partners With Kela as Exclusive Fancy Diamond Provider

Diamond e-tailers Kela and Leibish & Co. announced their long-term partnership, which will make Leibish & Co. its exclusive provider of fancy colored diamonds on its diamond e-tail platform.

On June 19, the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair will host an official ceremony at the Hong Kong Convention Center, where the partnership will be formally announced by the presidents of Kela and Leibish & Co.
