Charles Garnier Paris Announces Winner of Apple Watch at JCK Las Vegas 2015

Elizabeth Oliver of Steel’s Jewelry in Valdosta, Ga., was the grand-prize winner of the Charles Garnier Paris $10,000 18k yellow gold Apple Watch giveaway. There were three names chosen raffle style at May’s JCK Las Vegas show.

The second prize, an Apple Watch featuring a 42 mm steel case with Milanese loop, was awarded to Eli Antypas Jewelers of Toledo, Ohio, and accepted by Eli Antypas, and the third prize, a 38 mm Apple Watch with a silver aluminum case and white sport band, went to Mark Michael of King Jewelers in Cohasset, Mass. 

“Our customers were so receptive to the drawing that we will be holding drawings at our future shows,” said Charles Garnier vice president of sales, Julie Franco, in a press release. “We will be announcing one winner for each show, and the prize will be a pair of his and hers Apple Watches.” Future shows for Charles Garnier include Leading Jewelers, IJO, JANY, LUXURY Privé, RJO St. Louis, and the Atlanta Jewelry Show.

Leibish & Co. Educates Kids on Diamonds and Gemstones

In its quest to educate the world with the most accurate information on diamonds and gemstones, colored diamond company Leibish & Co. joined the the USFIRST organization (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) as a corporate participant of the Junior FLL (FIRST LEGO League) program, focusing its studies on rare stones.

As a part of the program, children ages 6–10 got to talk to a professional geologist, visited the national diamond museum, and came to the Leibish & Co. offices to learn about real diamonds, gemstones, and pieces of fine jewelry. They were encouraged to touch and experience the stones, and some of the kids even tried on some of the company’s finished jewelry pieces.
