American Gem Society Appoints Luxury Brand Group as PR and Communications Agency

Luxury Brand Group (LBG) has been appointed to handle the public relations and communications for both the American Gem Society (AGS) and AGS Laboratories. The agency will work closely with AGS to further develop its brand and build awareness with key consumer and trade targets, through strategic public relations initiatives.

“We and Luxury Brand Group have known and worked alongside one another for many years now,” said AGS CEO and executive director Ruth Batson in a press release. “They were the natural selection when considering an agency that would properly tell our history, cultivate our motives, and dispatch our new initiatives.”

“We value the efforts of the American Gem Society and feel that we understand its messaging, its ideals, and its target,” added LGB president and CEO, Frank Proctor, in the same press release. “The days to come will be a new and exciting journey for the Society—we are eager to assist in their development.”

Saxon’s Diamond Centers Announces Winners of Its ‘Let It Rain’ Contest

Bel Air and Aberdeen, MD-based Saxon’s Diamond Centers announced the winners of its Let It Rain bridal promotion, a contest open to customers having purchased an engagement ring from the retailer. The promotion’s guidelines promised participating couples a refund of up to $3,000 if an inch or more of rainfall were to occur on their wedding day in Baltimore.

If rain is said to bring good luck on your wedding day, contest winners Greg Hunter and Megan Gernand had plenty of it; the National Weather Service in Baltimore recorded 1.92 inches of rain on the date of their nuptials, June 20. Greg and Megan are the first couple to benefit from this promotion – open to all couples who purchase an engagement ring at Saxon’s, and submit an official Let It Rain certificate 60 days prior to their wedding. “We’ve been sponsoring this program for over three years,” said co-owner Kevin Farrell in a press release. “We were starting to wonder if we’d ever have a winner. Our long wait is over; congratulations to Megan and Greg!”
