Color Story’s Robert Leser Debuts LovePendants
In response to the increased demand by young consumers for more personalized jewelry options, award-winning jeweler Robert Leser has created LovePendants, an engraved gemstone division of his Color Story brand.
LovePendants’ website allows customers to personalized their jewelry by engraving topaz, amethyst, green quartz, or citrine with a symbol, letter, or word. Those gemstones are then set into the customers’ metal of choice (including vermeil, sterling silver, or 14k gold), in the form of a necklace, bracelet, or charm. Through its new affiliate program, retailers can offer their customers this service through their own website, allowing in-store or online customers to design their own LovePendants jewelry. The brand will then ship the finished product directly to the consumer, while sharing the profits with the retailer.
“Millennial shoppers are proving to be a group that wants a sense of collaboration and customization in the things they buy,” said Leser in a press release. “Our new affiliate program offers retailers the ability to meet their demands by offering them a new 21st-century way of selling to them on their own terms.”

Simon Rainer, former CEO of the British Jewellers’ Association, has announced his newest venture Simon Rainer Consulting. Using his network of contacts and influencers—legislators, international jewelry organizations, manufacturers, designers, distributors, third-party suppliers, recruiters, trade press, retailers, metal suppliers, and stone dealers—Rainer plans to help clients grow their businesses.
Services offered include the definition of business objectives, leading to the research, development, and implementation of a viable business strategy, or developing individual business functions such as product and brand development creating commercial synergy with existing businesses and crafting communications strategies.
