First Jewelry Announces Winner of Bead Design Contest for Persona Autism Speaks Collection
First Jewelry Limited reveals the newest additions to its Persona Autism Speaks jewelry collection in honor of World Autism Awareness Day, April 2. The new designs were inspired by submissions to the company’s bead design contest.
The jewelry company partnered with Persona and Autism Speaks to gather the most creative drawings from those affected by autism. The winning design came from Beverly Muzzy, who created the Autism Speaks puzzle heart in honor of her nine-year-old daughter. In second place, Daniel Matta designed a turtle decked out in Autism Speaks’ puzzle print, left, to represent his son’s autism progress, which is moving at a “slow and steady” pace, he said in a press release.
The newest beads will be included in the current Persona Autism Speaks collection and sold at participating Zales retailers across North America. They will be priced from $35 to $50, and $10 from each sale will benefit Autism Speaks.
