Stephanie Gottlieb Collaborates With By Robynblair on Jewelry Box
Jeweler Stephanie Gottlieb has released her collaboration with artist Robyn Blair Davidson of By Robynblair—a limited-edition candy-themed jewelry box.
Limited to 500 pieces, the plexiglass jewelry case features Davidson’s signature motto, “In Case of Emergency Break Glass,” in hot pink lettering, while inside the box, silk pillows featuring a rainbow-sprinkle print provide a cushion for the jewelry.
The jewelry box is priced at $145 and is available for pre-order on byrobynblair.com.
SGL Labs Cosponsors New JVC Initiative
SGL Labs, along with the JCK Industry Fund, will cosponsor a new industry initiative by the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), the independent diamond-grading laboratory announced last week. The Diamond Supply Chain Protection Kit, JVC’s new tool to help jewelry retailers protect their natural and lab-grown diamond supply chains, is intended to offer clear direction on how to both describe lab-grown diamonds in accordance with recently revised FTC guidelines and ensure suppliers are providing the required disclosures.
This tool kit from JVC includes educational resources to allow businesses—especially retailers and their staffs—to learn how to avoid making deceptive or unfair claims and outlines the language that should be used to describe lab-grown products. It also provides templates for a “Supplier and Business Partner Code of Conduct and Disclosure Agreement.”
“As lab-grown diamonds enter the mainstream of our industry, new concerns and challenges surface that need to be addressed,” said Steve Feldman, vice president of sales and marketing for SGL New York, in a statement. “As always, JVC is at the forefront of this effort, providing critically important clarity, while encouraging best practices throughout our industry.
