Verragio Receives RJC Certified Member Status

Fine jewelry company Verragio has achieved certified member status in the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), a recognition of the brand’s commitment to implementing and promoting business practices and management systems that align with the RJC’s standards.

“At Verragio, we’ve always believed that true luxury is built on integrity, responsibility, and craftsmanship,” said founder and CEO Barry Verragio in a statement. “Achieving RJC certification is a proud moment for our entire team—it reflects our deep commitment to ethical practices and sustainability throughout every step of our design and production process.”

Verragio joined the RJC in September 2024; to receive certification, the company underwent an independent audit to ensure it satisfies the council’s code for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, including in the areas of human rights, responsible production, and anti–money laundering.

Rio Grande Expands Personalization Offerings

Industry wholesaler Rio Grande has expanded its personalization offerings, in response to the growing demand for customization.

“As personalization continues to drive consumer purchasing decisions, especially in the bridal and self-purchasing categories, Rio Grande is focused on providing scalable, premium customization solutions that retailers can trust,” company president Arien Gessner said in a statement. “We’ve built a framework that combines creativity, efficiency, and reliability, ultimately leveraging the strength of our Richline network while staying close to our roots in U.S.-based manufacturing.”

Expanded customization offerings include melee sourcing and matched pairs (with both natural and lab-grown stones), allowing custom designs to be completed with accuracy; custom jewelry manufacturing and made-to-order ring services; diamond and gemstone special orders; branding and finishing services, including hot foil stamping, custom marking stamps, polishing cloths, digital printing, and packaging solutions; and a new digital custom jewelry design platform, which will be available to all jewelers in fall 2025.
