GJEPC’s First-Ever India Rough Gemstones Show Closes in Jaipur

The first-ever India Rough Gemstones show, hosted by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), closed on a positive note in Jaipur on Jan. 10. The show featured 42 international companies exhibiting rough gemstones from Afghanistan, Canada, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Madagascar, Tanzania, Thailand, and Zambia.

“I am happy to know that the first-ever India Rough Gemstones show in Jaipur was a successful one,” said GJEPC chairman Shri Praveenshankar Pandya, in a press release. “We would be organizing such shows in the future as well to make sure that manufacturers overcome one of the biggest challenges they face: The lack of a steady supply of rough with consistent qualities and stable price ranges.”
