New Entries and Events for VicenzaOro January 2020

The VicenzaOro January show is just around the corner, scheduled to run January 17–22, 2020, in Vicenza, Italy. In anticipation, Italian Exhibition Group has announced the fourth consecutive year of VIOFF, an off-site extension of the show that aims to bring VicenzaOro closer to the city and region it calls home.

A collaboration between IEG and Vicenza Council, VIOFF brings three days of shows, concerts, and exhibits featuring art, architecture, culture, wine, and food from the region. Highlights of the schedule of events include Talent Talk, a discussion on talent and innovation for students of higher education and Vicenza high schools; Miss VIOFF, a three-day fashion event spotlighting world-famous clothing, leather, and jewelry companies; and the Palladio Tribute, a celebration of Andrea Palladio and the Basilica Palladiana, with a light and music show accompanied by a gospel concert.

Christopher Designs Introduces Online Sales Training Program

Luxury jeweler Christopher Designs has announced the debut of an interactive online sales training program—a learning experience two years in the making.

Developed with the help of two of the industry’s top experts—Kate Peterson, president and CEO of Performance Concepts, and Pat Henneberry, president of The Jewelry Coach—the training program combines easy tips and tools to incorporate into everyday customer interactions, as well as visuals, videos, and interactive quizzes to maximize participants’ engagement. The program also allows users to start and stop at any time, working at their own pace, and participants may also review and revisit information.

“Our primary goal with Christopher Designs is to provide a memorable learning experience that energizes the retail sales associate into greater sales performance,” said Kate Peterson in a press release. “We’ve built special training modules specifically for Christopher Designs’ retail partners, including progress reviews and a comprehensive knowledge assessment to keep you on track. Our experience has shown that sales professionals who take advantage of our trainings have increased brand knowledge and confidence in their product, which results in selling 20%–30% more than those who did not.”

The training is specific to Christopher Designs, covering the brand’s story as well as details on its L’Amour Crisscut. It also lends insights into today’s bridal consumer and provides sales associates ways to assess customer response and close a sale.

“We’re very excited about our new online sales training program and have already received great feedback,” said president and CEO Christopher Slowinski in a statement. “The new platform provides our retailers with easy-to-learn tools, step-by-step examples, and the key messages they need to enhance their ability to speak to the benefits of the Christopher Designs proprietary cuts. Once the training is complete, sales professionals will be ready to maximize sales and know how to create a loyal and returning customer.”

The training program will be available in January. For more information, visit christopherdesigns.com.
