Stuller Announces 2017 Bench Jeweler Workshop Dates

The annual workshop takes place at the company’s global headquarters

Stuller’s annual Bench Jeweler Workshop has been announced for March 24–26.

The event, which will take place at the company’s global headquarters in Lafayette, La., will include seminars and demonstrations on topics including the diamond market, laser training, working with platinum, working with digitally grown assets, and polishing and plating.

“This is the premier event for bench jewelers,” said Tammy Kidder, vice president of merchandising, in a statement. “This year we will have over a dozen in-depth classes, new product demonstrations, and of course our second annual Battle of the Benches competition. It’s a real-time design contest that will be held during our workshop. The contestants will compete in three different challenges—design, parts and pieces, and prep and polish. Last year workshop attendees filled the showroom floor to watch the live competition. It was a huge hit and a lot of fun.”

The Battle of Benches competition will be between three bench jewelers and last year’s champion, David Adamson. Jewelers can enter to be contestants—and win a trip to the competition—here.
