Sterling Jewelers has appointed a new vice president and given two other longtime employees VP titles.
Robin Shabazz has been promoted to the role of vice president, employee relations and policy development. In her new role, Shabazz will be responsible for the management and development of Sterling’s employee relations programs, policies, and services. Prior to joining Sterling, Shabazz spent 21 years at Luxottica Retail North America.
In addition, John Liebler has been promoted to the role of divisional vice president, operations administration and special projects. He most recently served as vice president of regional operations. Prior to joining Sterling, Liebler served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army.
Succeeding Liebler in the role of vice president of regional operations is Christopher J. Gullo, who assumes responsibility for East Coast store operations. Gullo joined Sterling in 2001 as a full-time sales associate and was quickly promoted to assistant store manager and then store manager and district manager.
