Thomas Steiner was named managing director at the U.S. affiliate of Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Maurice Lacroix. The appointment became effective Jan. 1.
Steiner, 39, is a Swiss native. He is a graduate of the University of Applied Science Burgdorf, Switzerland, and holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. During the past eight years, he was employed as an engineer, project manager, and manager with Cisco Systems Inc. in California. He also is a commander in the Swiss Army.
“My goal is to generate sustained business by providing high support to the retailers,” Steiner said. “Maurice Lacroix shall become a sought-after manufacture brand. Together with my team, we will continue to build on our innovative strength and creativity which will inspire our customers in the coming years.”
In October, Maurice Lacroix USA, based in Hackensack, N.J., went through a significant downsizing due to market conditions.
