Statement Collar Necklaces Are the Gold Standard of Style for Spring

Editor’s note: This post has been written by our fun and fashionable contributor Alexis Williams. Enjoy!

With the Winter Olympics here and gone in a flash, I couldn’t help but imagine myself with a gold medal of my own. As well as the ultimate athletic accolade, for those of us in the jewelry world, collar necklaces are a prized, statement-making accessory—gold, silver, bronze, or otherwise.

During spring 2014 Fashion Week in New York last fall, designers sent bloggers aflutter with predictions of statement collars of all shades, materials, and sizes making a splash in the springtime. While The Gem Standard noticed that many designers let silver collars shine in September, Roberto Cavalli recently adorned its models in ornate gold collar necklaces decorated with jungle cats to debut the design house’s pre-fall 2014 collection. Over on Instagram, House of Harlow designer Nicole Richie went for the wow factor in a design of her own, and Naya Rivera was spotted in some serious sparke.

If customers are partial to a subtler accessory, The Cut says reverse collars are the spring 2014 trend to try now.

The Olympians have collected their gold, now it’s your turn. Consider adding an assortment of collar necklaces such as the ones collected from JCK Marketplace below to your winner’s circle. From high-end to the budget-conscious, these will have your spring sales as good as gold.
