Sproule joins CRJP as director of North American Operations

The Council for Responsible Jewellery Practices said Catherine Sproule has joined the organization as director, North American Operations. Her appointment became effective Wednesday.

Sproule will be the primary representative of the CRJP Secretariat in North America, with the key tasks of establishing and maintaining the organization’s relationships with members and stakeholders in Canada and the United States. In addition, she will be responsible for the management of CRJP’s global finances and administration.

Sproule was most recently executive director of Canada’s jewelry trade association where she played a lead role in representing the association’s efforts in the mining and government sectors. She also built a profile for the Canadian jewelry market in the international arena. Previously, Sproule was the Canadian public relations director for the Diamond Trading Company’s Diamond Information Center. She also served as senior director, Communications, with the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., the national television and radio broadcaster.
