We asked four retailers—located in the four corners of the country—to share their top sellers priced under $500 this week.
NORTH
Becky Beauchine Kulka Diamonds and Fine Jewelry, Okemos, Mich.
Sterling silver Spartan-head pendant with a tsavorite garnet “eye” made by the store’s master jeweler, $195. The store’s proximity to Michigan State University makes this school mascot pendant a perennial favorite among “just about everyone, from grandmas to students to young girls,” says store staffer Alissa Davio. MSU’s colors are green and white—hence the garnet.

Calvin’s Fine Jewelry, Austin, Texas
Zoe Chicco sterling silver small teardrop pendant pavé-set with raw-cut diamonds on a 16″–18″ adjustable chain, $290. “This piece is such a great seller because you can make it formal or informal,” says assistant manager Katherine Rudd. “You can wear it with jeans or with a great dress. It’s a great crossover style for us. It captures the interest of a younger crowd.”

I. Gorman Jewelers, Washington D.C.
Oxidized sterling silver mesh chain bracelet from Polish designer Maria Rzewuska, $295. “It kind of resembles black diamonds, but it doesn’t have a single stone in it,” notes store manager Jill Alexander.

Stuart Benjamin, San Diego
18k gold-painted sterling silver earrings from CH Mackellar, inlaid with various gems, $250–$600. “I think people are liking them because they’re different and you can’t compare them to the normal, run-of-the-mill sterling earrings,” says co-owner Barbara Wasserstrom. “Plus, they’re pretty big, so you get a lot of bang for your buck.”
